Novel solutions in carbon finance are necessary to catalyze the widespread adoption of the Paris Agreement’s Article 6 mechanism in the coming years. Policymakers, crediting programs, market participants, and other stakeholders have made continual progress in establishing the necessary structures to support Article 6 implementation, with early trades already underway.
