Stan Chia is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vivid Seats, the largest independent ticket marketplace in North America. As CEO, Mr. Chia leads the company’s efforts to further elevate the company and its offerings to consumers and sellers of tickets, building on Vivid Seats’ success as a leading marketplace with industry-pacing technology, track record of innovation, and world-class experience for buying and selling live event tickets. He also serves on the company’s Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Vivid Seats, Mr. Chia served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Grubhub, the nation’s leading online and mobile food ordering and delivery marketplace. In that role, Mr. Chia grew GrubHub from zero to $1.6 billion in delivered food, growing Grubhub’s restaurant network to more than 95,000 restaurants in 1,700 cities nationwide and architecting the rapidly expanding Grubhub Delivery Network. He also held senior roles at Amazon, Cisco, and General Electric, where he led strategic businesses and organizations.
Mr. Chia holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he holds a seat on the advisory board, and an MBA from Emory University. Mr. Chia also served in the Singapore Armed Forces as an Armored Infantry Platoon Commander and was recently featured in Crain’s “40 Under 40”.
Mr. Chia lives in Chicago with his wife and two wonderful children.
