Vikas Desai is an accomplished solar industry executive with over 20 years of global experience building businesses, products and teams. As president, he is responsible for executive management and growth activities at Solaria, including global sales, marketing, product, and digital initiatives. During his tenure as SVP and GM of SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ:SPWRA), he founded the residential and light commercial business unit and scaled it to $1 billion in annualized revenues. Mr. Desai also held CEO roles at EchoFirst (acquired by SunEdison) and Powerside, a power analytics provider, and was SVP and GM at the distributed solar divisions of SunEdison and Flextronics. Mr. Desai earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Gujarat University, India, an M.S. in Power Electronics from Loughborough University, England and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
