Sumit joined the NYSE in 2024 to co-lead its coverage and business development activities across the UK and EMEA; and he supports and advises private and public companies across the region that are considering a US listing.

Sumit has over 20 years’ experience in advising UK and international companies and senior leaders on their investment banking and equity capital market transactions, and on the listing, regulatory, compliance, and legal regimes governing them. Prior to joining the NYSE, he worked at HSBC Holdings plc; the UK Listing Authority / Financial Conduct Authority; and at Dresdner Kleinwort, Jefferies International, and Rothschild investment banks in London and New York.

Sumit has an BA, MEng, and MA in Computer Science and Information Engineering from the University of Cambridge; and continued his education through programmes at Harvard Business School, Imperial Business School, and SOAS. He is also a mentor for SEO London, a UK-registered charity that provides educational, training, and mentoring support and access to career opportunities to young people from underrepresented and underserved backgrounds.
