Rob Hranac is the CEO of Pattern Ag. Leveraging advances in metagenomics, Pattern is creating the next-generation computational agriculture platform, enabling new insights in soil biology that unlock grower productivity. Pattern uses next-generation DNA sequencing technology, applied at scale to generate precision maps of the microbiome in agricultural soil. These maps drive the next generation of agricultural inputs, with a focus on biological solution application and development. Before Pattern, he was the Chief Operating Officer at Swift Navigation, which develops centimeter-accurate GPS sensors for autonomous systems. Rob has two decades of experience launching and growing analytics businesses that apply precision sensors to large-scale environmental systems, with a focus on automation. He holds a degree in electrical and environmental engineering from Boston University and a master's degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
