Juan joined ICR in 2021 as a Senior Vice President in the Fintech & Financial Services Group. He advises clients in all stages of their lifecycle on tactical communications, capital markets and business strategy. Juan provides clients with invaluable perspective through the eyes of a veteran buy-side equity analyst and investor. His vast experience investing and analyzing companies, meeting with management teams, gauging investor sentiment and expectations gives him a thorough understanding of effective communications targeting the investment community.

Prior to ICR, Juan spent 15 years as a buy-side Senior Equity Analyst & Sector Manager investing in Financial/FinTech/Payments stocks at hedge funds, including Millennium Management. He also invested in IPOs, secondaries, and event-driven situations – M&A, LBOs, divestitures, recapitalizations. Juan was the lead analyst on teams that correctly assessed subprime risk at Banks ahead of the crisis and that were early investors in futures exchanges, electronic Fixed Income trading platforms and digital payments companies. Before the buy-side, Juan was a sell-side Equity Research Analyst covering Banks on an I.I ranked team at Merrill Lynch.
