As Vice President of Peer and Policy Advancement, Phyllis works to ensure the voice of individuals with lived experience of mood disorders is front and center in policy decisions at the state and federal level.

During her time at DBSA, Phyllis has helped push for legislation increasing funding for and expanding access to mental healthcare, as well as elevating the peer support specialist workforce.
