Armando Cabrera serves as the Director of Engineering at Abacus Life, a role he has held since joining the company in 2021. He leads Abacus’s data analysis and software development initiatives. Mr. Cabrera graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in Mechanical Engineering and earned minors in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, and Mathematics.

At Abacus Life, Mr. Cabrera is responsible for developing and implementing the data science and actuarial models that form the foundation of ABL Tech’s Valuation Methodology. He leads a team of engineers in creating innovative data solutions that drive all verticals under the ABL brand.

One of his notable achievements is leading the development of MVerify®, a state-of-the-art Mortality Verification software that captures reported deaths across the United States daily. In addition, he has designed and built customized proprietary valuation and risk analysis tools tailored to the life settlement sector of Abacus Life, further enhancing the company’s capabilities.
